We are a high-impact non-profit that is dedicated to bringing Mental, Behavioral and Neurological conditions to the general public through the means of Advocacy, Cultural Competency Education, Public Service Announcement, Discharge Planning for Patients within Psychiatric Units and providing high quality mental health services at a low cost through Community Partnerships.
Advocacy
We provide advocacy services to our clients in order to assist them with obtaining their due process within the California Court Systems. We fight to protect their rights when interfacing with their mental health practitioners and/or public entities that engage in unethical and cultural incompetent practices.
Additionally, we also assist our client’s within Psychiatric facilities with protecting and maintaining their Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) ACT rights . These services are crucial to ensuring patient’s safety, dignity, self-respect, self-identity and their overall functioning, while they navigate the complexities of their mental health challenges.
Cultural Competency/ Public Service Announcements
In order to raise the quality of mental health care in communities throughout Northern and Southern California, we create public service announcements and provide educational content and trainings for mental health practitioners on how to effectively conduct cultural competent assessments, treatment plans, patient interactions and clinical note taking. This helps to ensure that Practitioners provide their patients with high quality care that is patient centered, while also helping to decrease clinical error that is based cultural biases.
Discharge Planning
Our team provides swift discharge planning services and community resource linkages for all our clients including our clients within psychiatric facilities and throughout California who don’t have the support of family or their treatment team. Our service referral manuals and planning templates help clients quickly and compliantly discharge from psychiatric units into the next phase of their treatment journey without creating any interruptions to their care.
Mental Health Services
Our hybrid-model clinic, Cognitive & Behavioral Health Services in Partnership with Conscious Puzzles provides high-quality, low cost mental health services to children, families and individuals in both Northern and Southern California. We assist our client’s with decreasing mal-adaptive symptoms related to their diagnosis via telehealth, phone and at our various locations throughout California to meet client’s where they are.
